Dr. Carlos Eduardo Ponce Garcia

A distinguished Peruvian surgeon who combines emergency medicine with a passion for adventure, he is also an official high-mountain guide. He holds a Master’s degree in Emergency and Disaster Management from Spain and has the rank of Lieutenant Colonel within the World Federation of Mountain Rescue and Emergency Services (WOFE SEARES). He currently serves as Head of the Emergency Department at San Juan de Dios Hospital in Caraz and is a volunteer firefighter. His profile is distinguished by an impeccable international track record as an elite instructor in search and rescue, vertical rescue, and tactical medicine.
