Internationale Allianz und spezialisierte Versicherung
Die Asociación Socorro Andino Peruano (S.A.P.) entwickelt in strategischer Allianz mit Global Mountain Rescue S.A.C. das erste Projekt in Peru, das darauf abzielt, ein Netzwerk von assoziierten Mitgliedern und Fachleuten zu integrieren, die auf die Suche und Rettung im Hochgebirge spezialisiert sind, wodurch die nationale und internationale Zusammenarbeit zur Bewältigung von Notfällen in schwer zugänglichen Bergen gestärkt wird.
Als Teil dieser Initiative und dank der Zusammenarbeit mit professionellen Rettern aus Österreich wurde eine wichtige Kooperation mit der Bergrettung Tirol aufgebaut – einer renommierten gemeinnützigen Organisation in Österreich mit über 4.500 hochqualifizierten freiwilligen Bergrettern, deren Aufgabe es ist, Hilfe zu leisten und Personen bei Unfällen oder in Gefahrensituationen in den alpinen Zonen Tirols zu retten.
Im Rahmen dieser internationalen Zusammenarbeit erachten wir es als grundlegend, die Einführung einer spezialisierten Versicherung für Unfälle, Suche und Rettung im Hochgebirge zu fördern, die darauf ausgelegt ist, Einsätze in extremen und schwer zugänglichen Umgebungen abzudecken.
Unser Vorschlag umfasst Deckungen zum Schutz von Bergsteigern, Bergführern und Rettern bei Expeditionen, die die Höhe des Nevado Huascarán Sur (6.768 m ü. M.) – des höchsten Berges Perus – überschreiten, und gewährleistet so einen angemessenen Schutz für Rettungseinsätze an jedem Punkt der Andenkette.
Strategic Alliance & Specialized High-Altitude Insurance
In collaboration with Bergrettung Tirol (Austria), alongside Asociación Socorro Andino Peruano (S.A.P.) and Global Mountain Rescue, we are driving forward the first project. We promote specialized insurance for expeditions exceeding Nevado Huascarán (6,768 m), with coverage of up to €30,000 to ensure the sustainability of rescue operations.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO)Information Sheet on Rescue Costs of the Additional Rescue Insurance for Supporters of Bergrettung Tirol
1. Circle of Insured Persons
All supporters who register for insurance protection after paying the supporter contribution are insured.
Also insured are the spouse/partner living in the same household, as well as children up to their 18th birthday.
2. Subject Matter of Insurance
The insurer provides insurance protection in the event that the insured person suffers an accident, finds themselves in mountain or water distress and must be rescued (injured or uninjured), or if a body recovery is necessary.
- Insurance protection is valid worldwide.
- The sum insured is €30,000 per person for rescue costs.
- Insurance protection is subordinate (subsidiary).
- This means that benefits will only be provided to the extent that no other insurance or benefit provider (social security provider, private insurer) is liable to pay or actually pays. There is no entitlement to insurance benefits if the rescue services were provided free of charge to the rescued person or would have had to be provided free of charge.
3. Commencement of Insurance Protection
Insurance protection begins on the day following the payment of the supporter contribution and ends on December 31 of the same calendar year.
For payments made in the months of November and December, insurance protection is valid until December 31 of the following year.
4. Rescue Costs
Rescue costs are those costs that become necessary when the insured person
a) has suffered an accident or mountain/water distress and must be rescued (injured or uninjured); or
b) has suffered a fatal accident as a result of an accident or mountain/water distress and the body must be recovered.
Rescue costs are the verified costs incurred for the search and transport of the insured person to the nearest accessible road or to the suitable hospital closest to the accident site for initial medical treatment. Search costs are covered up to the amount of the sum insured, regardless of whether the search was successful or not.
5. Air Sports
Accidents related to the use of aircraft, parachute jumps, and the operation of aircraft are also insured.
Not insured are accidents suffered by the insured person as a passenger of motor gliders and ultralight aircraft authorized for passenger transport.
6. Competitions
Free participation in sports competitions is included in the insurance coverage.
Accidents arising from a remunerated sports activity and its associated training are not insured. Remuneration exists if the insured person receives more than mere reimbursement of expenses.
Participation in motor sports competitions (including performance tests and rallies) and associated training drives is not insured.
