🏔️🚁 Scoop and Breaking News: Socorro Andino Peruano Receives Official Invitation for 2025–2026 International High-Mountain Expedition

The Asociación Socorro Andino Peruano – Peruvian High Mountain Rescue Team (S.A.P.) proudly announces that it has received an Official International Invitation Letter to participate in a momentous High-Mountain Expedition. The mission will take place between December 28, 2025, and January 6, 2026, in the Republic of Ecuador.

This invitation marks a new milestone for our institution and for high-mountain rescue in Peru, consolidating the work Socorro Andino Peruano has been performing in training, international cooperation, and rescue operations in extreme environments.

The letter was issued by Mr. Dmitriy Moskalev, President of the Moscow Mountaineering and Climbing Federation (FASL), on behalf of Mr. Andrei Volkov, President of the Russian Mountaineering Federation—both leading institutions in the global mountaineering community.


🌍 Objective of the Expedition

The primary goal of this international expedition is to strengthen technical, operational, and educational exchange between mountaineers and rescuers from Peru and Russia, focusing on:

  • Sharing experiences in glacier and volcanic rescue.

  • Refining progression and safety techniques in high-altitude environments.

  • Exchanging methodologies for expedition organization.

  • Raising the professional standards of rescue brigades in terrains different from the Cordillera Blanca and Huayhuash.

All of this is conducted within a framework of international cooperation, brotherhood between nations, and a steadfast commitment to mountain safety.

The Peruvian delegation will be composed of prominent guides, rescuers, and institutional representatives from Socorro Andino Peruano S.A.P., who will represent Peru on the international stage:

  • Julián Octavio Carrión Raprey – Aspirant High-Mountain Guide

  • Yerson Evelino Rojas Verde – High-Mountain Rescue Brigader

  • Yony Rolando Macedo García – High-Mountain Rescue Brigader

  • Harry Bill Celestino Cisneros – High-Mountain Rescue Brigader

This multidisciplinary team represents the experience and commitment of Socorro Andino Peruano toward life, safety, and excellence in the mountains.


🏔️ Invitation to Regional Authorities of Ancash

As part of this significant institutional journey, Official Invitation Letters have been extended to prominent authorities of the Regional Government of Ancash to strengthen the country’s representation:

  • 🔹 Mr. Fabián Koki Noriega Brito – Regional Governor of Ancash

  • 🔹 Mr. Harry Celestino Cisneros – Senior Advisor to the Regional Council of Ancash

  • 🔹 Mr. Yover Alex Montoya Castillo – Delegate Councilor of the Regional Government of Ancash

These invitations were issued on behalf of the President of the Russian Mountaineering Federation, Mr. Andrei Volkov, as a gesture of institutional respect and a desire to tighten cooperation ties between Peru, Russia, and Ecuador.


🤝 Peru – Russia – Ecuador Cooperation

The expedition will be carried out alongside a group of 10 Russian mountaineers, forming an international team that will work together in the Ecuadorian Andes. The volcanic and glacial settings are considered ideal for high-level technical and operational training.

This experience will directly contribute to strengthening future training activities in Peru, including the: “First International Course on High-Mountain Rescue Operations and S.A.R. Helicopter,” organized by Socorro Andino Peruano S.A.P.
